1.DESCRIPTION
An insulation resistance tester is an instrument used to measure the insulation resistance of electrical insulation materials, equipment, or circuits. It is mainly used to detect the integrity of the insulation system, evaluate the insulation performance, and identify potential insulation faults.
The working principle of the insulation resistance tester is based on Ohm's law. By applying a DC voltage to the insulation system under test and measuring the leakage current passing through the insulation system, the insulation resistance value can be calculated. The insulation resistance value is usually expressed in megaohms (MΩ).
